Use of Sports Field & Car Park
USE OF COCKING SPORTS FIELD AND CAR PARK IN CONJUNCTION WITH BOOKINGS FOR COCKING VILLAGE HALL
- Cocking Village
Sports Field Hirers are free to make use of the sports field during the booking period, however the Sports Field is a public space for the village, and villagers have free access at all times. Exclusive access/use for Hirers cannot therefore be granted. Please remember this is also a children’s play area.
- Car Parking
The padlock code is provided to the Hirer as part of the Hire terms. The Hirer shall keep the gate closed as far as practicable during the Hire Period and padlock it at the end of the Hire Period. Vehicles shall be parked in a tidy manner on the hard standing only. Vehicle access to the grass is not allowed except by prior permission from the Cocking Village Hall Management Committee (‘CVH’). The Hirer shall ensure that clear access to the hall and the car park for emergency services vehicles is maintained during the Hire Period.
- Vehicle Liability
CVH accepts no liability for damage to, loss of property from or theft of vehicles parked in the car park during the Hire Period.
- Tents, Gazebos and small Marquees
May be erected on the Sports Field at a location agreed in advance with the prior permission of the CVH
- Music and general noise
Music may only be played outside the hall with prior permission from the CVH. No music is permitted after 11 pm and at all times noise shall be kept at a reasonable level with respect for the neighbours and other field users.
- Fires, BBQ’s, Hog roasts
Open fires are not permitted. BBQs shall be placed at least 3 metres away from the village hall building. BBQs shall be fully extinguished at the end of use and the Hirer shall remove the ash off site. Enclosed hog roasts may be used with prior permission from the CVH and must be situated on the hard standing at least 3 metres away from the Village Hall building. These may not be placed on the grass. A drip tray must be used to avoid fat staining the surrounding area.
- Organised Games and other activities
The Hirer shall take reasonable care that organised games do not present a danger to other persons using the Sports Field or to the surrounding property.
BOUNCY CASTLES ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
- Litter and dog fouling
The Hirer shall ensure that any litter and/or dog fouling generated during the Hire Period is collected and removed off site.
